They want to produce more quality work with less time and effort. It is also a wise idea to ensure the knives you are using are suited for the task in which you are using them. Just as any piece of equipment or machinery, if you use it incorrectly, even if you are careful, it can still cause damage to the piece. You will end up paying more for a replacement and then for the proper tool than if you had just bought the proper tool to begin with. Most craftsmen are small business owners and the bottom line is very important to them. Wasting machinery and tools is not an option so before you begin a task, make sure you have the right tools and the right knife blade is an important start.
