Bugs are going to be a constant problem; unfortunately you can’t do much about them. You’re going to want to put a small garden fence around the garden itself, but fencing in the yard helps keep a lot of the bigger things away. Remember it’s not just the feral creatures you have to worry about. You can only put a fence that’s so high around the garden, you need to be able to get to the garden itself to work however, that means larger animals can probably reach over it. Depending on what you’re growing you could have a neighbor’s dog poison themselves on your garden. Even if you’re not worried about a legal issue from it, there’s the simple desire to avoid that heartbreak.
